The musical mission of this show is to perform, LIVE, the Elvis Presley 1970 Concert, from the International Hotel in Las Vegas, as faithfully as Elvis’ own TCB Band did. And the kicker is, the show must be performed without the “tricks” and computerized “pre-recording” techniques so over-relied upon by today’s club and concert performers.

To accomplish this feat, two years of auditions took place to locate  and select the professional musicians who could most accurately reproduce, using their own talents and instruments, the original music scores and charts used by Elvis famous “TCB Band.”

The members of the “Steamrollers” produce an amazing musical style and remarkable similarity to the original sound and energy demonstrated in those 1970’s Las Vegas concerts.

Worth noting, again, is that The Steamroller Blues Band relies only on their instruments, and their individual musical talents -- NOT electronic or computerized assistance devices. Today, many new “tricks” can be performed by pre-recording complicated segments of songs, often called “sequencing.”

The band DOES NOT USE ANY SEQUENCING, OR ANY PRE-RECORDED MUSIC TRACKS. The music you hear is being played LIVE, as it happens... the way music was intended to be played!

The recreations of songs like “That’s All Right”, “Can’t Stop Lovin’ You”, “In The Ghetto”, “The Wonder of You”, and “Suspicious Minds” are remarkable, and take you back to the time when all music was performed live, complicated or not.

Together with strong backup vocalists, The Steamroller Blues Band delivers a performance that has been called one of the closest experiences to Elvis’ original, live shows.
